COVERED BRIDGES

Drawings for the winners of this raffle will be in late summer or early fall of 2014.  Pictures of the prizes  are shown below.  Tickets are $5.00 for a book of six, or a dollar each, and can be purchased on line, at Lutz's Automotive, the Mountain Fiber Folk, or at any of our upcoming events.  Get yours today!

To purchase tickets on our web site simply click the "Add to Cart" button under the picture of the quilt on the MHS WWCC & Store page and complete your purchase.  The minimum purchase is one book of six tickets for $5.00 but you can buy more books by changing the quantity at the shopping cart.  Once the purchase is completed we will get a message from Paypal and the MHS will fill out the tickets for you and make sure they get into the hopper with all the others.  You don't have to be here to get in on the chance to win this beauty.  Good luck!

First Prize:

     A bed quilt
handcrafted and donated to the MHS by the Franklin County Quilters Guild It is based on a design called "Flower Garden" by Julie Golimowski, which was selected by the quilters and inspired by the many floral motifs, and the many colors, of the windows of Pratt Hall.  The design was tweaked, also based on Pratt Hall's, windows with each block having a multicolored border like our windows.  There is also a block with a church with stained glass windows added.   It's sized for a queen sized bed, 93 1/2 X 95 1/2 inches.  It would also make a spectacular wall hanging.  This quilt has been appraised at $3,100 by American Quilters Society (AQS) Certified Appraiser, Sandra Palmer.  The appraisal will be included with the quilt.

Second Prize:

Handcrafted quilted table runner called "Holiday Braid".  Measures approximately 20" X 56".  Made by award winning Montgomery quilter, Sharon Perry.

Third Prize:

A set of 12 embroidery patterns featuring the covered bridges of Franklin County, and the instructions for making them into a stunning redwork bed quilt (shown below).  Individual blocks can also be made that are suitable for framing.  Designed by award winning Franklin County quilters Denise Chase and Sharon Perry.
